Position Available:
Manager of Projects and Service Delivery

We are hiring for a Manager of Projects and Service Delivery to provide development and customization of Epicor ERP applications, translate software requirements into workable programming code, and maintain and develop programs for use in business. The Manager of Projects and Service Delivery oversees project managers and service coordinators to successfully deliver on time and on budget projects and services to our customers. This person has a seat at the table as a member of Senior Leadership Team.

Duties

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Identify and manage project dependencies, interdependencies with other projects and existing products, and critical path items;
  • Ability to manage and oversee project managers that each have average of 15 projects at one time with budgets of $50K to $150K each;
  • Project Manage larger projects as an individual contributor;
  • Incorporates effective change and risk management controls;
  • Maintain accurate project and capacity plans and up-to-date project assets and metrics;
  • Create a positive environment including open, honest communication and a clear path to escalate risks and issues;
  • Manage and develop strong project managers;
  • Implement comprehensive use of AutoTask as a tracking tool on each project;
  • Guides, mentors, and develops junior project management team members;
  • Ability to work across diverse personalities and agendas;
  • Builds and maintains related reporting and metrics for senior leadership team;
  • Escalate business critical issues to executives;
  • Track project deliverables in ComTec’s project management software (AutoTask) and suggest better tools or resources as appropriate;
  • Team management of 2-5 project managers and 1-2 service coordinator.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Act as liaison and central focal point for service delivery across IT and ERP sides of business
  • Maintain daily timesheet and expense report entries for department and submit/approve them accurately and timely
  • Other duties as required

Minimum Qualifications

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • High level of proficiency (intermediate) in MS Office and SharePoint

  • Experience in managing stakeholders and team members
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and reduce project risk
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Pleasant and professional demeanor in all client and internal communications
  • Ability to multi task
  • Intellectually resourceful with sound judgment and effective decision-making abilities
  • Independent worker and able to work effectively on daily tasks and management without direct supervision
  • Strong organization skills and ability to operate efficiently throughout daily tasks
  • In general owns issues through resolution although understands when to escalate a problem to senior leadership and whom to escalate to; accepts escalated issues; and mentors when appropriate
  • Demonstrates empathy with team members in a professional manner at all times

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & KNOWLEDGE:

  • Bachelor level degree
  • PMP / Prince Certification preferred
  • 5 – 10 years of project management experience
  • 3 – 5 years of experience managing a team

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to schedule for evening or weekend work occasionally
  • Valid driver’s license in your state of residence and reliable personal vehicle
