ESG Managing Consultant

As a member of the Enterprise Systems Group, you will lead the consulting team to help ensure they are following processes to deliver software implementations via consulting activities from kickoff to Go-Live, on time, on budget and to the agreed scope, as well as provide ongoing client support. Streamline and provide onboarding activities by managing training, shadowing, and other activities. Making decisions aimed at improving efficiency while at the same time ensuring no disruption of project schedules. Directly working with the consulting and software engineers to provide quality solution design to the customers.



  • Be the trusted advisor to clients on system configuration and implementation, using Epicor’s signature methodology for problem identification, implementation, documentation, testing, and training
  • Communicate with the customer to determine needs, and contribute solution design as well as an overall business strategy
  • Interpret requirements data and identify any gaps between the current state of purchased modules and desired functionality in a future state
  • Support resolution of project issues and coordinate activities and schedules with both clients and internal team members to resolve in the and timely manner
  • Assist with generating Solution Design Specifications and Opportunity/Quote generation
  • Ability to adhere to project timelines and meet Service Level Agreement goals
  • Provide support for clients in a help desk capacity and assist in troubleshooting application questions
  • Provide both remote and on-site Training and Consulting for clients when necessary
  • Present ComTec in a positive light both internally and externally (i.e., be a champion for the company)
  • Manage ticket resolution time and continually improve to meet SLA guidelines
  • Utilize strong leadership and interpersonal skills to ensure optimal efficiency, effectiveness, and productivity
  • Approve and manage, all timesheets, vacation requests, and expenses
  • Ensure effective utilization of all resources (e.g., people, equipment, facilities)
    • Manage employee utilization to meet department billable goal %
  • Responsible for the performance and development of all Consultants
    • Enable and support the personal/professional development of all direct reports (i.e., coach and mentor)
    • Lead the charge to embrace and implement new product functionality
    • Manage On-Boarding activities for new consultants
    • Conduct 5-5-5 conversations with direct reports


  • Maintain daily timesheet and expense report entries and submit them accurately and timely
  • Interface with the Service Coordinator
  • Lead Level 10 Meetings for ESG Consulting
  • Manage the weekly Epicor Escalation Meetings
  • Other duties as required

  • Experience in leading and managing teams
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with solid exposure to ERP software.
  • Understanding of Manufacturing Operations
  • Proven success in ERP software project implementation and deployment across multi-business verticals


  • Ability to schedule for evening or weekend work occasionally
  • Valid driver’s license in your state of residence and reliable personal vehicle
